In New York Times, Ross Douthat (December 5, 2015) article; “Liberalism’s Gun Problem”, asserts that if people who are clumsy, forgetful, impulsive, easily influenced by people, and who are easily angered should not be carrying around pistols, or own an assault rifle. Douthat developes this article to show the public that things are changing, people have to realise that there are always going to be changes that will not always be beneficial or good for the people. “Gun Control” needs to be enforced not just anyone should be able to own a deadly weapon there are too many people who can do crazy things, when everything they have or need is at arm's length.
Ross Douthat gains credibility by giving information on a topic which is being discussed all over America. Douthat wants to inform the public of the situation that has been increasing rapidly all over the news and even world wide. His intentions are to inform the public of the critical importance of owning a weapon , laws have to be made, rules have to followed, and not just anyone should have rights to own a rifle. After reading this article I have realised that owning a firearm is a very serious case and should be treated responsibly and carefully, because lives are irreplaceable.
